Advice / Carlisle

Looking for some advice:
I've been looking at old trucks for a couple of years now and I would like to finally get one. I'm torn between a Scout 800 or an early Bronco. I would prefer to get a Scout because I think it's a cooler truck for a lot of reasons. But, I want something I can use as a daily driver and I feel a bronco would be much easier to build up and maintain simply because of the availability and price of parts. So, what do you guys think? How much of a pain in the ass is it to run a scout 800?

Also, I will be at the Carlisle Truck show this weekend hopefully to purchase a truck, or just learn a lot about some cool old rigs and get a chance to meet some owners.

I'm looking for a truck that has a straight body and frame. I don't care if there has been aftermarket work done or not and it can be ugly as hell as long as it's not eaten up with rust. My goal is a daily driver that I can upgrade over time. I'm thinking I can get this for somewhere between $3000 - $5000.

Thanks for the help guys.
